Vice President of Raving Fan Customers

Kevin is responsible for customer service, sales, and marketing for all of Richmond Baking’s operations. Kevin is a proud Richmond native who earned a Bachelor’s degree from DePauw University. Kevin has spent his entire life in sales from his days selling ads for his high school yearbook, to more than 20 years in the tech industry in individual sales roles, technical sales, major account management and various sales management positions. Kevin’s greatest strengths are his creativity, drive and leadership. He thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand the company’s reach, and is skilled at building and nurturing corporate partnership with customers of all sizes. Kevin believes that the key to all customer interaction is simple, straightforward and open communication, and he treats all customers with honesty and respect. He lives in Colorado with his wife and their two sons. In his free time, Kevin likes to ski, run, mountain bike and explore the world.

Kevin coaches both youth baseball and football, and volunteers at his kids’ school in their WatchDog program, which provides positive male role models in the elementary school environment.

Darin has a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising from the University of Southern Indiana. He joined the Richmond Baking family in June of 2012, as a Buyer, and has since been promoted to the position of Purchasing Manager. Darin works closely with sales, quality, and production to understand and support their needs. He is able to draw on his previous experiences working in the food industry in inventory control, purchasing, and production scheduling to help ensure all Richmond Baking customers and suppliers are Raving Fans.

Daisy Laswell, Senior Accountant, joined the Richmond Baking Family in 2009 as the Office Generalist. Before joining the family, Daisy worked in restaurant management and the fresh food manufacturing industry. The knowledge she acquired in these industries earned her a promotion to Senior Accountant within her first year of employment, paving the way for a successful career at Richmond Baking Company.

Daisy believes in continuous improvement and is glad to work for a company that is open-minded and receptive to changes. “Joining this family has been the best career move for me. The continuous encouragement I receive from all family members is very overwhelming and motivates me to succeed. It makes me want to give 110% and of course, when you love what you do, that is just easy to do.”

Today, in her role, she has been able to apply her knowledge and skills in different areas, not just in accounting. She also oversees IT purchasing and troubleshooting, as well as the implementation and training of the company’s manufacturing and payroll systems at both plant locations. Daisy believes and appreciates Richmond Baking’s vision and looks forward to a long career path with the company.

Sue Dixon has been a Sales Manager for Richmond Baking since 2008. After earning her Associate’s degree in Nursing, Sue spent several years working in customer service management for two major nationwide candy companies. Six years later, Sue went to work for a large food production company, eventually specializing in sales and account management for a major US dairy. Although Sue knows all aspects of Richmond Baking’s products, her experience with candy and dairy products makes her the perfect specialist in Ice Cream Inclusions and Graham Crumbs. Sue believes in identifying and fulfilling her customers’ needs while exceeding their expectations.

Bitsie Carpenter is a Customer Service Specialist who joined the Richmond Baking team in 2004. Bitsie started as the Richmond Baking receptionist and her philosophy has remained the same in every position she has held at the company. “I’ve learned that one sincere, ‘Hello. How are you doing today?’ goes a long way in building wonderful relationships with customers.” Bitsie does everything she can to live up to Richmond Baking’s charge of creating Raving Fan customers. “I want to make sure that when a customer hangs up the phone, they know I’ve done the best I could to meet their needs. It is my firm belief that this is what keeps our customers coming back again and again.”

Bonnie Miller, Customer Service/Key Accounts, joined the Richmond Baking team in 2010. Bonnie holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business from Indiana Wesleyan University. Bonnie came to Richmond Baking with over 25 years of manufacturing experience. Her diverse manufacturing experiences allow her to see the “big picture” when it comes to fulfilling customers’ requests and expectations. “My career path has allowed me to bring new ideas to the table and create unique ways to meet our customers’ needs. I believe that understanding these needs, providing good communication and working to earn your customers’ trust go a long way in building customer relationships,” she says.

Bonnie appreciates that each employee of Richmond Baking is recognized as an individual. “With over 300 employees in two states, Richmond Baking still makes each person feel like part of a team and not just a number.” Bonnie also appreciates Richmond Baking’s dedication to community support and actively participates in philanthropic activities herself.

Daniel Potter, Culinary Innovation Artist (CIA), joined Richmond Baking in July of 2012. Daniel has a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Purdue University and an associate’s degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University.

Daniel will be using his creative culinary skills to help satisfy the growing needs and wants of Richmond Baking’s Raving Fan Customers. “The really fun and exciting thing about being the CIA at Richmond Baking is being able to find new and unique ways we here at RBC can satisfy each of our customer’s product requests.”

Sylvia Griffin joined Richmond Baking in 2012, bringing many years of manufacturing experience to her position. Sylvia’s career has been diverse, ranging from the entry level machine operator position, trainer, production manager, to her present position as Customer Service Specialist. With experience in seafood sales, as well as dairy production, Sylvia understands the complexities of the food industry and the need to keep the customer satisfied.

Sylvia is a Georgia native and finds satisfaction in being certain everything possible is done to make sure Richmond Baking customers receive orders filled completely and shipped on time. “Communication is a key factor in keeping customers happy. Creating Raving Fan Customers is something that must be achieved daily and that’s the overall goal of the RBC Family.”

Rebecca Crawford joined the Richmond Baking family in 2015 in Customer Service. She has an Associate’s degree in Accounting, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management.

Rebecca acquired over 12 years experience at a distribution center, allowing her to develop a wide variety of knowledge in production, shipping/receiving, returns, accounts receivables, purchasing, customer service, and office management. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family and is pleased to be part of a company who values family. Rebecca lives in Georgia with her husband and two daughters.
