  • Location: Richmond, Indiana
  • Job Purpose: Assures the manufacture of safe food by supervising, managing and motivating production line personnel.
  • Duties: Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintains staff by training employees and developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources;  initiating and implementing cost reductions; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Job Duties: to gain a thorough knowledge of a variety of packaging machines and be able to operate the machines at peak efficiency. Will be required to maintain the equipment in excellent running condition and perform preventative maintenance. Equipment is late model, with PLC controls.
  • Requirements: Prior Industrial mechanical experience and ability to learn. Requests: Prior PLC operating experience.
  • Reports to: Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor.
